Brings Expertise in Planning, Design and More
HYDE PARK, N.Y. (September 30, 2021) – Larry Boudreau, a land development expert with more than 25 years of experience, has been named President of Development for Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park, a world-class hospitality, culinary and sustainable agrihood planned destination in the heart of the Hudson Valley.
His appointment to the position was announced by Bellefield Development Partners, the team behind Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park and an affiliate of T-Rex Capital Group, LLC. As Director of Land Development for the Chazen Group in Poughkeepsie, a position he held almost 13 years, Boudreau has been involved in the progress of the Bellefield development since the start.
“Larry brings a wide variety of experience in land development, and has been deeply involved in Bellefield, so he knows the intricacies of this unique project,” said Thomas Mulroy, T-Rex Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are thrilled to have him on the team and in charge of what is sure to become one of the Hudson Valley’s treasures.”
With a variety of housing options, boutique hotels, farm-to-table restaurants and more, Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park synthesizes the growing cachet of the region just 90 minutes from New York City with its rich agricultural heritage. Now under construction, the development will be a destination and must-see attraction for domestic and international travelers alike. Bellefield occupies 120 acres of a 340-acre site directly across from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. Almost 65% of the site will remain untouched wooded areas.
Boudreau will manage all aspects of permitting, strategic planning, land use planning, road and utility infrastructure including the TR Sewer Works Corporation (Bellefield’s onsite wastewater treatment plant), as well as general site operations.
“Bellefield is a project like nothing else the region has seen, and it is an honor and a unique opportunity for me to oversee its day-to-day development,” Boudreau said. “I am ready to put all my experience to work ensuring that it is developed to the highest standards and lives up to the expectations of visitors who will come from near and far.”
As director of land development at the Chazen Companies, he was a principal in the company, managing clients and projects throughout the Hudson Valley. Over a career spanning two and a half decades, Boudreau has gained experience with land development projects both professionally and as a real estate development manager for regional land development companies.
He has extensive experience in land planning, project and client management, acquisition due diligence and business intelligence in land development. His experience includes regional and community planning, commercial and institutional land use planning, golf course design, site planning for hospital expansions, residential master planning, regulatory review and permitting.
He has also volunteered his time mentoring high school students in Hudson Valley working with ACE (Architecture Construction and Engineering) Mentor Program and mentoring cadets at the U.S. Military Academy West Point on their Capstone senior projects, which incorporate immersive “real world” experience.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Haven and bachelor’s degrees in landscape architecture from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, and environmental science from Syracuse University. He is a licensed professional landscape architect in New York and Georgia.
