Economic Impact

Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park will provide a huge financial boost to the local economy. The ten-year combined operation and visitor spending economic impact from Phase 1 of the project will be more than $634 million. The hospitality component of Bellefield will create 550 jobs during its construction and provide nearly 370 full-time permanent jobs on-site. One quarter of the goods and services used in construction will come from Dutchess County.

Its lodging options will accommodate the existing demand of an estimated 1 million visitors annually to Hyde Park, and nearly 5 million visitors to Dutchess County. Visitors will be able to extend their stay from current day trips to multi-night visits bringing business to the local economy.

Bellefield will help the county and region capture professional conferences, weddings, community events, and social gatherings currently lost to better equipped facilities outside of the area.

Weddings and Conferences

Over the course of Bellefield’s first ten years, Phase I of the project will generate more than $118 million in tax dollars, which benefits Hyde Park, Dutchess County, and the State of New York.
