Mike Oates brings extensive expertise in economic development to his new role.
Hyde Park, N.Y. (December 6, 2016) – Bellefield Development Partners, the team behind Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park and an affiliate of T-Rex Capital Group, LLC, is proud to announce that Mike Oates will join the team as Managing Partner. Oates is the former CEO of Hudson River Ventures, a small business investment fund focused on Food & Beverage, Tourism, Hospitality, 3D Printing and Innovative Technology with investment projects located in the Hudson Valley.

In his new role with Bellefield Development Partners, Oates will be responsible for overseeing and managing tenant real estate needs, handling government relations, and marketing Bellefield as the premier destination for culinary companies looking to grow their businesses.

As the former President and CEO of Hudson Valley Economic Development, Oates created the Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance, BioHud Valley and Hudson Valley Advance Manufacturing Center at SUNY New Paltz. He formerly served as Vice President / Regional Director for Empire State Development, New York’s lead economic development corporation charged with attracting new companies to New York.
Oates is active in the community, as well. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Walkway over the Hudson and as a board member for Pattern for Progress.
