One of the most popular tourist sites in Dutchess County may get a little bit bigger.
Legislation has been proposed by Rep. John Faso that would allow the Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site in Hyde Park to absorb 89 acres of land owned by Scenic Hudson. According to Faso’s office, “the National Park Service is permitted to own property that was part of the Roosevelt estate, but requires Congressional authorization to adjust the boundary of the historic site beyond that of the original property.”
